EFCC, on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 arraigned one Felix Idowu and his company, Premium Samflex Integrated Limited before Justice O. O. Goodluck of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on a two-count charge of fraud to the tune of N11,750,000 (Eleven Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira). Five teachers of the  Polytechnic Academic Staff Secondary School  in  Birnin Kebbi , have been reportedly dissmissed for impregnating an SS3 student at the school. Sources confirmed that the teachers were dismissed following the recommendation of a committee set up by the school to investigate the strange case. The pregnant student was also expelled from the school. “The committee submitted a report on Monday and recommended that all the five teachers should be dismissed from service immediately,” a source was quoted to have said. “The management have dismissed the teachers and the victim was also expelled from the school. When the committee interrogated each of the teachers, they confessed that they have been having sexual relationship with the victim separately, so, they were sacked immediately based on the committee’s recommendations.” The affected teachers reportedly sent an appeal against their dismissal to the school’s management board. Okada rider dies after being punched over N150 ticket in Ogun State On Wednesday, an official of Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN) punched a commercial motorcyclist, popularly known as ‘Okada rider’ to death over his refusal to pay the mandatory daily union ticket of N150. According to reports, the official simply identified as Saheed had stopped the victim who was identified as Ibrahim Raji at Iyana – Mortuary area of Abeokuta metropolis and demanded for his ticket which he could not produce. Raji was said to have argued with Saheed, insisting that he was a bricklayer going to work and not an okada man’ that would obtain the ACOMORAN’s daily ticket.   His refusal to pay for the ticket, however, infuriated Saheed who later dragged him down from his motorcycle and punched him on the forehead which made him fall into the drainage channel and died. A female Corp member named Linda Angela Igwetu was allegedly shot dead by a SARS officer in the early hours of this morning in Abuja. Linda, who would have passed out tomorrow, hung out with friends last night to celebrate her passing out and left for home early this morning. On her  way home, a police officer shot at the car she was in and she was hit. Linda was immediately rushed to Garki hospital but they refused to treat her until they see a police report, despite police officers being present.  The young corper eventually bled to death. Today, eight families showed up for DNA test in connection with the Otedola Link Bridge explosion which result to a wild fire that killed 12 people on June 28, 2018. Head of the Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre, Dr Richard Somiari, has however said that more families were still expected to visit the facility in connection with the deadly explosion. "There are two categories of people that come for the testing, those who believe strongly that their family members died and need to be identified. The other category includes people who just do not know because the family person is missing. So, we will expect that those two categories of people will come”   he said.
