FIFA increases punishment for racism in football

The world football governing body,  FIFA has increased punishment for racist incidents.  They will be doubling their minimum ban for racist incidents to 10 games and will allow players to make victim statements and participate in the proceedings In a statement released, FIFA said they “will not let down victims of racist abuse,” adding they “may be invited by the respective judicial body to make an oral or written victim impact statement.” “For a first offence, playing a match with a limited number of spectators and a fine of at least 20,000 Swiss francs ($20,000) shall be imposed on the association or club concerned.” Fare network, an organisation which promotes diversity in football across Europe, has welcomed the changes and called on the English FA to implement similar measures. The hilarious messages shows Zlatan begging profusely to secure a collaboration with Olamide and even went as far as saying,  'If I die tomorrow and I don't get the chance to sit and talk to you, I won't be happy with myself'. Students left with serious injuries as armed robbers attack University of Ibadan female hostel

The Obafemi Awolowo Hall of residence (Awo) in the University of Ibadan (UI) was attacked by suspected armed men in the early hours of today Friday July 12th.  According to students of the institution, the armed robbers who were over 10 in number, stormed the hall around 1am and raided for almost two hours. The hall porters were said to have done some inspection in the rooms by 11pm and when the students heard knocks on their doors, they thought the porters had returned and willingly opened the doors to the attackers. At least five students are said to have sustained injuries inflicted on them by the attackers while many gadgets including phones and laptops were carted away.
