Four men have been arrested by officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps at Birnin Kebbi for being in possession of fake one thousand Naira notes, a total of N583,000. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday, March 9, secured the conviction of four counterfeit currency dealers. fake currency 4 Nigerian men caught with over N500K fake currency sentenced to 5 years in jail The accused men, Usman Ahmed, Isiyaku Mohammed, Mohammed Abubakar and Rilwanu Abdullahi were brought before Justice Simon Amobeda of the Federal High Court Kebbi state on a four count charge of conspiracy and possession of counterfeit currency. Justice Amobeda sentenced all the accused persons to 5 years imprisonments. The sentence is to begin from the day of the arrest. Na wa oo!
