A commercial bus driver received more than he bargained for today, 26th of August. He was given an instant judgement and punishment after obstructing the free movement of vehicles around the Apapa area of Lagos state. A social media user made a report on this. Chief of Army Staff, Major General Tukur Buratai, on Wednesday July 29 approved the postings and appointments of 334 officers of the Nigerian Army with various effective dates. These include some Principal Staff Officers at the Defence and Army Headquarters, Corps Commanders and General Officers Commanding as well as other commanders. The acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, said in an electronic mail on Wednesday that the postings and appointments approved by Buratai, affected 37 Major Generals, 57 Brig. Generals, 128 Colonels, several lieutenant colonels and others.
