Ekiti All Progressives Congress Youth Congress (EAYC) has frowned at
President Muhammadu Buhari’s reported appointment of one Olasoji Akodu
from the state as the coordinator of his social media team.
A report in the social media space had claimed that Akodu had been given the job of the coordinator of the Buhari Media Centre.
But the youths in a press release issued in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday, described Buhari’s choice as a stranger in the APC in Ekiti State and wondered how those in charge of Buhari Media Centre would do such a thing without contacting the publicity secretary of the party in the state.
In the statement signed jointly by Mr. Tope Ogunkuade and Comrade Tunji Adeleye, EAYC convener and secretary respectively, they said the development was “an affront on youths in the party to be neglected for someone like Akodu, who is a federal civil servant and his wife a civil servant in Ekiti State.”
