Catholic church rejects EXPENSIVE chair after governor sat on it (photos)

- Drama ensued at a catholic church in Molo sub-county, Nakuru on Sunday, March 26

- Presiding priest at the church rejected an expensive seat (gift) after a governor sat on it

- A businessman had presented the chair to the church as a gift on Thanksgiving day

A catholic church in Molo, Nakuru county rejected a donated seat after a governor sat on it during a thanksgiving service on Sunday, March 26.
Governor Kinuthia Mbugua sat on the chair before it was consecrated causing the priest Father Anthony Kinuthia to reject it.

Governor Mbugua apologised for the incident saying he didn't know he would be asked to sit on the gift.

Despite the fact that the seat might have been sat on at the store, the priest refused to accept it as a church gift.

Saraki sends warning to ministers as 2018 Budget passes 2nd reading

The 2018 Appropriation Bill has passed second reading at the 8th Senate. The Bill has been forwarded to the Committee on Appropriations and its various sub-committees for further consideration and budget defence by the various ministries, departments and agencies of the Federal Government. Speaking on the passage of the Second Reading of the Budget, the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki said: “We know that the timetable is very tight. We will be suspending plenary for us to be able to start the defense of this budget. Committee Chairmen and Members should please ensure that we keep to this timetable. “Let me respond with a general note of warning to all Heads of MDAs to ensure that they strictly respect the letters of invitation and the timetable. This is not time for excuses for Ministers or Heads of parastatals to be traveling and not be able to attend their budget defense. “We do not have the time.
