Catholic church rejects EXPENSIVE chair after governor sat on it (photos)

- Drama ensued at a catholic church in Molo sub-county, Nakuru on Sunday, March 26

- Presiding priest at the church rejected an expensive seat (gift) after a governor sat on it

- A businessman had presented the chair to the church as a gift on Thanksgiving day

A catholic church in Molo, Nakuru county rejected a donated seat after a governor sat on it during a thanksgiving service on Sunday, March 26.
Governor Kinuthia Mbugua sat on the chair before it was consecrated causing the priest Father Anthony Kinuthia to reject it.

Governor Mbugua apologised for the incident saying he didn't know he would be asked to sit on the gift.

Despite the fact that the seat might have been sat on at the store, the priest refused to accept it as a church gift.

CBN sets daily limit of mobile transfer at N100,000

The Central Bank of Nigeria CBN, has pegged the maximum transfer from mobile phones using short codes at N100,000. According to a statement from the director, banking and payment system of CBN, Dipo Fatokun, the decision was made because of the risk associated with mobile banking. The bank says the new directive will take effect from June 2018. “Concerns have been expressed on the likely exposure of CBN approved entities to the possible breaching of the USSD accessed financial services in view of likely vulnerabilities in the technology and the ever-growing threats,” the circular read. The bank added that any customer that would like to do transactions over N20,000 will require a pin and soft token which they would get from their banks. “Put a limit of N100,000.00 per customer, per day for transactions as may be required. According to The Sun, embattled senator Dino Melaye this afternoon jumped off the vehicle that was conveying him to Kogi state and ran into the thick bush nearby. A secondary school teacher in Kisii, Kenya, has made history after winning a legal battle against his estranged wife in which the judge ordered her to refund the money he had paid as bride price. The judge also ordered James Mayaka to be refunded college fees he paid for his wife, Everlyne Kerubo Makini, 42, at Narok Teacher’s college between 2002 and 2004. Mayaka was happy that he had finally gotten justice in the case that has lasted six years now. He had earlier made an appeal in February 2015, against an earlier court ruling but judges Wanjiru Karanja, Festus Azangalala and Gatembu Kairu rejected it.
