A two-year-old girl, Gbonjubola Williams, has been allegedly shot by police operatives from the Lagos state, Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

A stray bullet grazed the little girl’s chest and shoulder when the policemen raided the community to capture suspected drug peddlers around 5:00pm on Friday, March 3.

It was gathered that the girl was with her mother a few meters away from the scene of the raid when the stray bullet hit her.

While speaking with The Punch, the girl’s mother, Omowunmi Williams, said her daughter was treated at a clinic in the area after the incident.

She said: “My daughter and I were sitting in front of our residence that evening when the policemen chased some boys to our street. When they could not arrest any of them, they arrested my brother (Popoola) and other people and took them inside the vehicle they brought.”

“The bullet hit my daughter slightly. If we were not some distance away, the injury would be serious.”
According to The Punch, the Lagos state police public relations officer, Olarinde Famous-Cole, promised to address the public after speaking to SARS officers.

Serena Williams , 36, looked stunning as she stepped out in a figure-hugging white dress with silver sequinned sleeves to the premiere of her HBO documentary ' Being Serena ' in New York on Wednesday night. Former Lagos State Police PRO, Ngozi Braide robbed of N10million by driver

Ngozi Braide, a former Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer was reportedly robbed her driver; one Mr. Philip Jonathan who burgled her bedroom, carted away her belongings, foreign currency worth about N10m and escaped in Lagos. According to reports, the incident happened at her home in the Maryland of Lagos where she lived with her family. It was gathered that Jonathan, 38, targeted Braide when she was not around. He then broke into her room, stole those items and escaped. He was alleged to have taken away cash of three thousand Dollars valued at N1.1m, 2 gold chains worth N2.8m, diamond ring worth N3.6m and other valuables put in total at about N10m. The theft was reported to the operatives of FSARS who trailed Jonathan and arrested him. The police did not disclose if they recovered the items after the suspect was arrested but he was charged before Ikeja Magistrates court for conspiracy and stealing. He pleaded not guilty....

He was found guilty of assaulting the patient at Burnley Crown Court in 2014, but was later cleared of any wrongdoing following an appeal. Gov. Abiodun reinstates teachers sacked by Amosun

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has reinstated the immediate past NLC Vice Chairman in Ogun state and the then state Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Oludare Ilekoya and Olusanjo Majekodunmi sacked by Senator Ibikunle Amosun. High school student displays on first day at school after overdosing on drugs (photo)

A New Jersey high school student put on a display at school after overdosing on drugs and had to be rushed to the hospital. The teenager from Jersey City reportedly took an overdose of the drug K2 and this caused him to lose control of his body. The drug hit as he was climbing the stairs at school and he fell then began acting like one in the throes of convulsion. A teacher at the school is seen in a video trying to help him. He was later taken to the hospital.

Mother-of-five killed in car crash after her boyfriend cut her brake lines to make crack pipe.

A  38-year-old mother-of-five died in a car crash caused by faulty brakes and police have now revealed that the woman's brake lines was cut by her boyfriend to make metal pipes for smoking his cocaine. Tammy A Fox was driving her black Hyundai Sonata one morning last week when "her vehicle began to accelerate," police explained in a news release. The vehicle appeared to be going 50 to 60 miles per hour, a witness said. Then, the car lost control and "violently struck a tree," according to police. Fox was killed by the crash.
