He was found guilty of assaulting the patient at Burnley Crown Court in 2014, but was later cleared of any wrongdoing following an appeal. Fatherless lady cries out after her uncle brutalized her in Abuja (photos)

A 26-year-old lady who lost her father at a young age and had to live at the mercy of relatives, has cried out after her 36-year-old uncle brutalized her in Abuja. Maimuna Muhammed revealed that her father's relatives collected all they had after her father died and her mother was forced to move back to her family with her children. But she had to endure insults from her brothers' wives even though she was solely responsible for her children's upkeep. Bisi Alimi and his husband Anthony Davis sat with LITV's Hero Daniels to discuss their relationship, LGBTQ, among other things and social media users had a strong reaction to the historic interview after it was shared online. The interview is the first of its kind in Nigeria, being that it is the first time a married gay couple will be interviewed on Nigerian TV. During the interview, Bisi and Anthony spoke about kissing on their first date, moving in three weeks after their first meeting, their religious beliefs, plans for kids, breaking down barriers of homophobia, and more. 'The Federal Government is irresponsible' – ASUU

The Academic Staff Union of Universities , ASUU, has condemned the Federal Government over its incapability to arrest the spate of killing in the country, saying that the govt has demonstrated an act of irresponsibility towards its constitutional responsibility. The union maintained that a government that allowed her people to be murdered daily wwas totally irresponsible and has failed to fulfill the social contract of protecting lives and properties. Conveying this position to the public, the ASUU Chairman of the University of Ibadan, UI, Dr Deji Omole , in an interview with newsmen shortly after the congress of the union in Ibadan demanded adequate security of lives and properties of Nigerians from the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
