''Buhari, APC taking Nigerians for fools'' ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo says




Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says President Buhari and his party, APC, have in the last three years been taking “Nigerians for fools.”
The former president said this at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital, where he announced that his Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM) platform has adopted the African Democratic Congress(ADC) as a political platform to achieve the dream of changing the current state of governance at all levels in the country come 2019.
The former president lamented that the fortunes of most Nigerians have taken a turn for the worse in the last three years despite claims by the Buhari-led government that the economy was booming.
He also warnedNigerians not to accept the call for forgiveness by the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP). According to the former president who was a chieftain of the party until he tore his membership card in 2015, the party had sought forgiveness but has not deemed it fit to discipline its members who used eight years to bring woes upon the country through poor governance.

Borno-based man releases his predictions of 2019 presidential election, state by state

Ahead of the forthcoming 2019 general elections, there have been several predictions about the chances of political parties and major politicians aspiring to various political offices. Students left with serious injuries as armed robbers attack University of Ibadan female hostel

The Obafemi Awolowo Hall of residence (Awo) in the University of Ibadan (UI) was attacked by suspected armed men in the early hours of today Friday July 12th.  According to students of the institution, the armed robbers who were over 10 in number, stormed the hall around 1am and raided for almost two hours. The hall porters were said to have done some inspection in the rooms by 11pm and when the students heard knocks on their doors, they thought the porters had returned and willingly opened the doors to the attackers. At least five students are said to have sustained injuries inflicted on them by the attackers while many gadgets including phones and laptops were carted away. Osinbajo speaks on how he will end corruption

- Acting President Osinbajo has explained steps he intends to take to end corruption in Nigeria - He said he will defeat corruption by replicating the model he used to end corruption in Lagos Judiciary Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has revealed that he will tackle corruption in Nigeria the same way he tackled and reduced corruption in the Lagos state Judiciary when he was the commissioner of justice in the state. Man hacked to death by cultists following argument during a football match in Ogun state (graphic photos)

A young man was hacked to death by machete-wielding cultists yesterday in Ijebu-Igbo, Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State. The violent incident took place on Sunday evening after an argument broke out during a football match at a Primary School in Oke-Agbo, Ijebu-Igbo. Some young men were playing football on the primary school field when a number of them got into an argument which soon turned violent. The young men fled in different directions but the victim was chased by cultists suspected to be members of Eiye Confraternity and he was hacked to death when they caught up with him. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the attack. See graphic photos below.
