''Buhari, APC taking Nigerians for fools'' ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo says

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says President Buhari and his party, APC, have in the last three years been taking “Nigerians for fools.”
The former president said this at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital, where he announced that his Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM) platform has adopted the African Democratic Congress(ADC) as a political platform to achieve the dream of changing the current state of governance at all levels in the country come 2019.
The former president lamented that the fortunes of most Nigerians have taken a turn for the worse in the last three years despite claims by the Buhari-led government that the economy was booming.
He also warnedNigerians not to accept the call for forgiveness by the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP). According to the former president who was a chieftain of the party until he tore his membership card in 2015, the party had sought forgiveness but has not deemed it fit to discipline its members who used eight years to bring woes upon the country through poor governance.

President Buhari has commiserated with the leader of Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, on the death of his daughter, Mrs Funke Olakunrin. In a statement by the president's media aide, Femi Adesina, ' the deceased was reportedly shot Friday along the Kajola-Ore road, in Ondo State, by those the police described as armed robbers'. Prosecutors narrate how husband killed Nigerian artiste Alizee and poisoned their daughter as court remands him in custody

A Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos on Wednesday remanded a Danish national, Peter Nielsen, who was suspected of killing his wife, Zainab Ali- Nielsen and their three-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Petra. Chief Magistrate Kikelomo Ayeye remanded Nielsen, 53, in Ikoyi Prison, following an application by the police. Nielsen was docked on a two-count charge of unlawful killing. Nielsen’s plea was not taken. He was represented by Frank Udoka Amah. Prosecuting counsel, Effiong Asuquo, tendered a three-page application, containing 15 grounds for Nielsen’s remand in prison. He said: “There is overwhelming forensic evidence linking the defendant to the assault and murder of his wife and daughter. Investigation has also shown that the defendant was habitually violent to his late wife, Zainab.” According to Asuquo, a fight broke out between the couple in their flat at about 3:00 a.m. on that fateful day. Doctors reconstruct the face of a woman after it was torn by her husband and it's nothing short of a medical miracle (extremely graphic photos)

A 25-year-old woman's face was badly torn by her husband, such that about half of her face lost its skin and you could almost see her skull. But doctors managed to reconstruct her face again and it's being referred to as a medical miracle. According to Medical Creations Instagram account, the woman was assaulted by her husband and he tore her face. Getting her back to normal would have seemed impossible but doctors managed to do it and, looking at her now, it's hard to tell how damaged her face was before the surgeries. Court stops sack of over 20,000 teachers that failed the competency test in Kaduna

The Kaduna Division of the National Industrial Court today issued an order stopping the state government from going further with the plan to sack 21,780 primary school teachers that failed a competency test organised by the state government. Recall that in June, the state government organized a competency test for primary school teachers in the state. Sadly, over 21, 000 of the teachers failed the primary 4 set of questions given to them. Some of the scripts released by the state government showed that many of the teachers supplied ridiculous answers to basic questions they were asked. About two-thirds of the teachers that sat for the competency test, failed to score up to 75 percent. A Nigerian doctor, who has been involved in a four- year ordeal after being accused of mistreating patients at a surgery has spoken of the effect the case has had on his family. Dr Abiodun Bale has been told by the Court of Appeal he was free to return to work after a top judge overturned his suspension on Monday, March 28th. Dr. Bale, who at the time lived in Moston, Manchester, was accused of behaving inappropriately after a female patient identified as Maria Hindle claimed he had grabbed her arm during a consultation and raised his voice to her at Hyndburn Medical Practice in Oswaldtwistle in 2013. The 45-year-old was training to be a GP at the Hyndburn Medical Practice in Acrington, when the allegations were first made in 2013. He was found guilty of assaulting the patient at Burnley Crown Court in 2014, but was later cleared of any wrongdoing following an appeal.
