''Buhari, APC taking Nigerians for fools'' ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo says

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says President Buhari and his party, APC, have in the last three years been taking “Nigerians for fools.”
The former president said this at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital, where he announced that his Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM) platform has adopted the African Democratic Congress(ADC) as a political platform to achieve the dream of changing the current state of governance at all levels in the country come 2019.
The former president lamented that the fortunes of most Nigerians have taken a turn for the worse in the last three years despite claims by the Buhari-led government that the economy was booming.
He also warnedNigerians not to accept the call for forgiveness by the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP). According to the former president who was a chieftain of the party until he tore his membership card in 2015, the party had sought forgiveness but has not deemed it fit to discipline its members who used eight years to bring woes upon the country through poor governance.

President Buhari’s re-election chances are as tall as El-Rufai - Reno Omokri

It is no longer news that President Buhari has declared his interest to seek a second term in office, much to the secret chagrin of his side kick, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, who, though he feigns delight at the President’s decision, is secretly disappointed. His over ambition is very well known in power circles and he was hoping that the President would stand down and instead pick him as his proxy. But that is not my focus for this piece. My focus is the reason the President gave for wanting to be re-elected President. CBN sets daily limit of mobile transfer at N100,000

The Central Bank of Nigeria CBN, has pegged the maximum transfer from mobile phones using short codes at N100,000. According to a statement from the director, banking and payment system of CBN, Dipo Fatokun, the decision was made because of the risk associated with mobile banking. The bank says the new directive will take effect from June 2018. “Concerns have been expressed on the likely exposure of CBN approved entities to the possible breaching of the USSD accessed financial services in view of likely vulnerabilities in the technology and the ever-growing threats,” the circular read. The bank added that any customer that would like to do transactions over N20,000 will require a pin and soft token which they would get from their banks. “Put a limit of N100,000.00 per customer, per day for transactions as may be required. Students left with serious injuries as armed robbers attack University of Ibadan female hostel

The Obafemi Awolowo Hall of residence (Awo) in the University of Ibadan (UI) was attacked by suspected armed men in the early hours of today Friday July 12th. According to students of the institution, the armed robbers who were over 10 in number, stormed the hall around 1am and raided for almost two hours. The hall porters were said to have done some inspection in the rooms by 11pm and when the students heard knocks on their doors, they thought the porters had returned and willingly opened the doors to the attackers.
