Governor - Elect, Sanwo Olu Visits Site Of Lagos Building Collapse

The Lagos State governor elect and the deputy governor elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Dr Obafemi Hamzat visited the site and the general hospital where the victims are receiving treatment today. 
This is what Babajide Sanwo-Olu had to say;
"I visited the site of the collapsed building at Itafaji and the general hospital where those affected are receiving treatment. 
The community, rescue workers, health personel and the State government are doing all they can to aid and resolve all issues arising.
As a Father, my thoughts and prayers are with the parents and members of the community, but beyond this, we need to put factors in place to ensure that we avoid such occurences and I will be committed to doing this.

Stop sending me unsolicited scripts or film ideas – Kemi Adetiba warns scriptwriters

Following Omoni Oboli's recent legal drama of her new movie, 'Okafor's Law', Filmmaker, Kemi Adetiba has taken to her Twitter page to sound a loud warning to script writers sending her 'unsolicited scripts'. 'Pls stop sending me unsolicited scripts or film ideas. I delete as soon as I see title. It exposes us both,' the Wedding Party director tweeted.' Minutes later, she wrote on her IG page: 'I thoroughly understand the drive and hunger to break out, but you really shouldn’t send out finished scripts or film ideas without some written legal protection anyway'. This comes days after Lagos State Court ordered the seizure of Omono Oboli’s Okafor Law’s following the copyright infringement/trademark violation case filed by writer Jude Idada.

Photos: Suspected assassin apprehended in Ikorodu

A suspected assassin was apprehended in Ikorodu town in Lagos yesterday September 4th. The assassin was apprehended with a locally made gun found on him. When he was interrogated, he said someone sent him to the town to carry out some attacks but he refused to give the name of the person. He was beaten and thereafter handed over to the police.

Famous Sri Lankan singer stabbed to death with scissor in her home, as police declare her husband wanted

Famous SRI Lankan singer,  Priyani Jayasinghe  has been stabbed to death with scissors in her own home. The vocalist's body was found stabbed to death at her home, and she's believed to have been killed with a pair of scissors in the Kalutara District, around 17 miles south of the capital Colombo. According to news outlets in  Sri Lanka , the singer was beaten and then stabbed to death with scissors; a call was placed to the country’s emergency line 119 around 8.45pm on 8 July local time. She later died from her injuries at Panadura Base Hospital. Authorities in Panadura are hunting for Priyani's husband,  Rasika Eden Prabhath  in connection with the crime. Priyani's death was confirmed by her family members on Facebook. A message posted with it read: "Rest in peace Sister Priyani..May you attend Nibbana. May you be born among us again...May you attain the supreme bliss of nibbana!!"
